About Rock Lake Weaving

I am a self-confessed fiber addict. If you can weave it, sew it, knit it, or spin it, I want it!

I love producing high quality items that are loved and appreciated. Weaving is a wonderful way for me to fulfill this need, and it also allows me to spread the joy of a handmade item.

I occassionally offer “stock” items for sale. These are things that I make because I like them.  Fancy tea towels, scarves, placemats, whatever strikes me as fun to make when I have an empty loom.  These items are top quality, unless otherwise noted. Most often, I make something for myself, and then I get an idea to try a different version of that item. A girl can only have so many handwoven items before the neighbours start talking, so I keep what I cannot live without, and the rest goes to a new home to be loved.

My true passion is custom weaving. I love helping someone turn an idea into reality, working with them on the details, to provide them with exactly the thing they want, even if they were not quite sure what they wanted in the start! I am here to help my clients make choices about pattern, fiber, colour, etc that will have them head over heels with the finished product, whether it is a servicable tea towel, an attention grabbing scarf, or a highly desired length of fabric, to be turned into something extra special at a later date.
