Custom Orders
A deposit of $150 is required upon the acceptance of a custom order. $50 of this deposit is non-refundable.
The balance of the cost is due when the weaving and finishing are complete. I will send you an invoice at this time. Depending on the size of the fabric being woven, and the finishing required, this is generally 1-2 weeks after weaving begins.
If payment in full is not received within 72 hours of the above date, the item will no longer be considered a custom order, and will be sold.
All items will be shipped within 3 business days of payment, with tracking and insurance. The client will be notified once the item is shipped.
If for any reason the client is not completely satisfied with the item, within 30 days of the item being mailed, the client is required to email kathy@rocklakeweaving.com and state that they wish to return the item. The client is responsible for all shipping/tracking/insurance fees for items to be returned. Once the item is received, in like new condition, the purchase price, less the $50 non-refundable portion of the deposit will be refunded to the customer.
Shipping fees of $30 will be added to the final invoice. (Canada and US shipping only, International shipping is available at cost) I ship with tracking and insurance, if you choose to ship without them, I am not responsible for the item once it is mailed, and will not issue refunds for items lost or damaged in the mail.
One of a Kind Designs
Should you desire a one of a kind item, that will never be exactly reproduced by me, I am willing to work with you to achieve this. These designs are subject to an additional fee, which will be discussed during the design process. Not all designs may be used for this type of order. All custom order policies are in effect for One of a Kind designs, however, should the client decide to return a One of a Kind item for any reason, the design will no longer be considered unique, and may be exactly reproduced by me, at any time.

Hello, I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you about a scarf I purchased from you last year.
I want to say it was at a craft show at the Festival Theatre, but I am not sure about that. I love scarves, and have quite a few, but as soon as I saw the scarf on your table I knew I couldn’t pass it by. I could hardly wait for the cooler weather to wear it, and although I have many scarves, it is the only one I have been wearing this winter. It is nice and warm, and the colours are perfect.
Before moving to Stratford, many years ago I was a member of the Craft Guild of Mississauga, and one of our members was a weaver. I purchased a scarf from her at one of our show, and it still looks as good today as the day I bought it, and I suspect your scarf will be the same.
